There's tragic news from the campus of Stockton University in Pomona, New Jersey. One of the school's students has reportedly been killed in an auto accident.

The student was reportedly involved in a crash and passed away on Thursday, March 28th.

The accident happened on the Black Horse Pike in Collings Lakes, New Jersey, in an area between 8th S. and S. Pinewood Dr. just after 12:30 a.m. Thursday, according to NBC Philadelphia.

Pacheco was pronounced dead at the scene.

The sad news was shared with Stockton students and faculty via email today.

The message, drafted by university Dean of Students Christopher Catching (provided to us by a Stockton U student) reads, in part:

Dear Members of the Stockton University Community,

It is with sadness that I share the news that Yolanda Pacheco, a student in the Psychology program, has passed away. On behalf of the Stockton University administration, I offer my deepest condolences to Yolanda's friends and family.'

Yesenia Pacheco, Yolanda's sister, is a member of the Stockton University faculty, according to Dean Catching.
