The family of a missing 23-year-old man from Bridgeton is desperate to find him as New Jersey State Police join the investigation.

Jonathan J. Morris reportedly went out with friends after work on Thursday night and hasn't been seen since, according to 6abc.com.

Morris reportedly works in Sicklerville, Camden County at a group home for people with disabilities. He had his mother's car, a BMW, at the time of his disappearance. That sedan was found running on the side of Barretts Run Road in Hopewell early Friday evening, and that's when police reached out to Morris' mom.

As an official inquiry into Jonathan's whereabouts began, his friends and family set out on their own to look for clues. Morris' aunt, Corinth Pernell indicated to 6abc.com that some of her nephew's belongings were found near his abandoned vehicle, along with video surveillance that showed the sedan before it became unoccupied.

State Police have reason to believe Morris may be in danger. His family is seriously concerned for his health because he's reportedly diabetic and requires medicine to control it.

Jonathan J. Morris is a black male with brown eyes and black hair. He is 6'6 and approximately 220 lbs.

Anyone with information related to the disappearance of Jonathan J. Morris is asked to call Detective Jacob Schor or Detective Sergeant George Auge of New Jersey State Police Troop "A" Bridgeton station at 856-451-0101.
