Authorities have discovered that a South Jersey man had made up a story about finding needles in Halloween candy following the incident in Chester County, PA.

Robert Ledrew of Blackwood, NJ, told police Sunday that he found four sewing needles in the candy he received after trick-or-treating. Gloucester Township police have discovered that Ledrew had posted a photo of the needle incident on Facebook the day before. There are no reports as to why Ledrew made the decision to make this story up, but nonetheless he is now being charged with making a false police report.

Authorities are still continue to investigate incidents of tampered Halloween candy in New Jersey and Pennsylvania after a few reports have come up in Chester County, PA and Woodbury Heights, NJ.
