Stabbing and Shooting Near Rowan University Campus in Glassboro, NJ
In two separate incidents of violence over the weekend, there were stabbings and a shooting at parties near the campus of Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey.
Parties on and around Rowan University's campus aren't unheard of. In fact, they're expected and, once upon a time, legendary. But two gatherings this weekend escalated to an unsafe place.
This past Friday night, Glassboro Police were reportedly called to the area near Oakwood and Whitney avenues where a fight had broken out and arrived to find several people with knife wounds, according to News12 New Jersey.
The three victims were not seriously hurt, and the perpetrator was arrested and has been charged with the stabbings.
Then, on Sunday, on North Main Street, partygoers were reportedly trying to remove a guest who was refusing to leave, and an ensuing fight resulted in one person being shot in the foot.
The individual who fired the weapon in that incident has yet to be caught but an investigation continues.
