New Jersey Buy Buy Baby Stores Going Out of Business, Here’s What You Need to Know
The Buy Buy Baby chain is being affected by the bankruptcy of its parent company Bed, Bath & Beyond, and soon all their stores in New Jersey will close for good. Here's what you need to know about baby registries and gift cards.
The popular baby product retailer is shutting down its 120 locations nationwide by June 30th, according to What To Expect.
According to the bankruptcy filing, any items purchased at Buy Buy Baby before April 23rd can be returned or exchanged though May 24th.
Consumers can reportedly still use Buy Buy Baby gift cards and Welcome Rewards+ store credit until May 8th, pending availability.
As far as gift registries are concerned, Buy Buy Baby will preserve registry data after the stores close but may outsource to a third-party to help fulfill registry purchases.
Although registries are safe for the time being, whattoexpect.com suggests moving your registry items to another store.
The two Buy Buy Baby stores in South Jersey that will be closing by the end of June are located in Deptford and Cherry Hill.
