Get ready for the rare 'Ring of Fire' Solar Eclipse according to 3 CBS Philly. The first solar eclipse of 2021 will be a partial eclipse and will happen early in the morning at 5:32 AM on Thursday, June 10th.
A solar eclipse takes place when the moon positions itself between the earth and the sun. The moon will cast a shadow over the earth to complete the eclipse according to the website space.com.
The rare 'Ring of Fire' solar eclipse starts right after sunrise on June 10th and will last only 1 hour and 40 minutes. The best time to view the eclipse will be early morning right after the sun rises.
It is dangerous to look directly into the sun especially at the peak time of the eclipse even with sunglasses on. The safest way to watch the eclipse is with eclipse glasses rated 14 or higher, specially designed solar binoculars or telescopes, and a pinhole projector
