Local Firefighters Pay It Forward After Waitress Picks Up Breakfast Tab
A waitress overheard one of the local first responders that helped put out a fire that broke out in a North Brunswick warehouse Wednesday morning. She decided to recognize these heroes the best way she could.
The Burlington County Firefighter had worked a twelve hour shift, and he was having breakfast at the Route 130 Diner in Delran. Once the waitress overheard about his night, she decided to pay for his breakfast along with leaving a note:
'Your breakfast is on me today. Thank you all that you do, for serving us and for running into the places everyone runs away from. No matter your role, you are corageous, brave and strong. Thank you for being bold everyday. Fueled by fire and driven by courage - what an example you are. Get some rest!'
Meanwhile, that same waitress has been raising money for her Father. According to her GoFundMe page, she's trying to buy a wheelchair accessible van. He was paralyzed by a brain aneurysm five years ago. She's raised $30,000 so far, but needs $80,000 dollars.
The firefighters have already begun to 'pay it forward'. Here's more from 6ABC:
