Sea Isle City officials, business leaders and a variety of special guests gathered on the Promenade to cut a 1.5-mile long ribbon and officially begin the resort’s 2013 Tourist Season.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony, which also marked the start of Sea Isle’s Annual Polar Bear Plunge Weekend, was held to remind travelers that Sea Isle City is ready to welcome visitors.

The event’s “Guest Ribbon Cutter” was Maureen Larsen, a member of the United States Special Olympics Alpine Ski Team, who recently returned home to Sea Isle City from Korea, where she won a medal for her country.

SoJO 104.9 will be on hand for the Polar Bear Plunge Saturday from 1-3 p.m.  Stop by to meet morning show host Tom Morgan under the tent at LaCosta Lounge!
