Some would call Rihanna a workaholic.  The singer seems to release a new album once a year, but there may be good reason for that.  A new report claims that three years ago, Rihanna found herself almost bankrupt.

In new documents obtained by TMZ, Rihanna claims in a lawsuit filed that her former accountants left her "effectively bankrupt" by the end of 2009.

The papers accuse the accounting firm Berdon LLP of mismanaging Rihanna's estimated $11 million fortune, leaving her with only $2 million at the end of 2009.  She also claims that as a result of the accounts' advice her expenses doubled that year after purchasing an expensive mansion.

But Berdon LLP is blaming Rihanna, saying the millions lost were due to the singer's "own financial action or inaction".

Ri Ri also claims she saw barely any profits from her Last Girl on Earth Tour.

But the star hasn't exactly gone from riches to rags, Rihanna's total earning as of June 2013 were estimated at $43 million by Forbes.
