A relative tells NJ.com that an investigation into the events surrounding the Rentas-Irizarry's death continues, and that the family has not yet received a completed police report.

It's not immediately known if the driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene, or, if so, faces any charges.

Loved ones say Quetzy was a dedicated mom and on her way to completing education to become a phlebotomist.

A GoFundMe has been established to collect donations to offset final expenses for Rentas-Irizzary. If you'd like to help, you can visit the fundraising page here.

Our thoughts are with Quetzy's family and friends at this difficult time. We'll continue to update this story as details regarding the accident that took her life become available.
