N. Wildwood, NJ Bar Staff Mourns Sudden Death of Young Employee, Raising Donations
The sudden passing of a young team member of a popular North Wildwood, New Jersey bar has left its staff heartbroken. Now, they've started a fundraiser in her memory.
The Surfing Pig announced the sad news on their socials this week that one of their own employees has died, gone too soon.

21-year-old Melissa O'Malley seemed beyond loved by staff at bar and restaurant, located on W. 10th Avenue near the bay in the heart of N. Wildwood, who wrote, 'Melissa was a great addition to our staff, and whenever you saw her, she greeted you with a beautiful smile. Melissa touched many lives, and will be deeply missed by all of us at The Surfing Pig.'
O'Malley was reportedly the victim of a tragic accident on April 14th at a college in Pennsylvania where she had been visiting friends.
Fundraiser for Young North Wildwood, NJ Bar Employee Who Died Tragically
A GoFundMe in memory of Melissa O'Malley, a junior at University of Tampa in Florida, has been established and accepting donations.
The organizers of the fundraiser write, 'We’d like to support the O’Malley family by raising funds to support them in this grieving and beyond'.
Melissa will be laid to rest on April 22nd at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA, according to loganfuneralhomes.com.
