Gloucester Township House Fire Under Investigation

A Saturday afternoon house fire that displaced three members of a family in Gloucester Township is under investigation.

Police and firefighting units responded to reports of flames at a Barbara Place home in the Timber Birch section of Gloucester Township around 12:30 p.m. Saturday, reports NJ.com.

The blaze forced the closure of the block for nearly three hours as firefighters from Chews Landing, Glendora, Hi-Nella, Magnolia, Lawnside, Runnemede, and Somerdale fought to get it under control. One firefighter was reportedly transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.

GTPD and the Camden County Prosecutor's Office Fire Marshal are investigating the cause of the fire.
