Fowler: ‘People around the league looking at Philadelphia as fit for Budda Baker’
Eagles general manager Howie Roseman always seems to be good at finding teams that have players who want out.
He did it a year ago with two players, A.J. Brown and C.J. Gardner-Johnson. Both players were on the last year of their deals, and their teams didn't want to pay them what they thought they were worth.
Roseman swooped in and made two trades that helped improve his roster.
He may have another opportunity to make that happen again this year with Arizona Cardinals safety, Budda Baker.
Baker has requested a trade, the Cardinals are in rebuilding mode and he wants to win now. He would also like a new deal, with two years left on his current deal, he wants to be paid like one of the top safeties in the league.
ESPN' Jeremy Fowler said on Sunday morning SportsCenter, he is hearing Philadelphia could be a fit.
"People I talk to around the league are looking at Philadelphia because they have a need at safety with C.J. Gardner-Johnson leaving in free agency.:
One thing Fowler says could be an obstacle is money, the Eagles don't have much cap space left, but he does acknowledge, this is a player many teams want to get their hands on.
The two-time All-Pro made led the Cardinals with 111 tackles last season and two interceptions l in 2022.
