Police and detention officials say five juveniles escaped their facility in Atlantic County on New Year's Eve.

Four of the escapees of Harborfields Detention Center’s Southern Residential Community Home in Egg Harbor City, N.J. have been caught following the breakout, but one remains at large, according to PressofAtlanticCity.com.  Egg Harbor City Police Police describe the suspect as a black male, 5-feet 9-inches tall and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.

All five boys are residents of Camden.

Juvenile Justice Commission spokeswoman Sharon Lauchaire tells The Press of AC the detainees were being housed in the residential section of Harborfields, and not the guarded detention center which has a higher level of security.

Anyone with information may contact Egg Harbor City Police Department at (609) 927-5200.
