A Burlington County home caught fire late Monday night, a family of five fleeing the flames.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. Monday on Woodthrush Trail East in Medford.

Officials say the fire began on the rear deck of the residence and quickly moved through the rest of the home, 6abc.com reports.

All five family members woke up in time to escape safely.

It sounds to me like a possible post-Memorial Day barbecue mishap, though fire investigators are investigating to pinpoint the cause of the blaze.
