Christmas In January?

As another Holiday season is upon us, some families in South Jersey will choose to celebrate the holidays---in January!  Tradition says that Christmas in on Dec 25th, but due to the economy/families being out of town, families have been pushing their holiday shopping to the end of the year.   Growing up, I would hear about families celebrating the holidays a day or two after Christmas, but until recently, some families are waiting till after the new year!   Are you a traditionalist, and say Christmas should be celebrated on the proper date?  Or, does it really matter?
