Camden County Police Officer Shot

A Camden County police officer was shot this morning inside a bathroom at police headquarters on Federal Street in Camden.
The incident was reportedly the result of an accidental discharge of a gun, according to 6abc.com, but there is no word on whether the weapon belonged to the injured officer or someone else.

The officer was struck by a bullet in his hip and is expected to make a full recovery.

Meanwhile, the Camden County prosecutor's office is investigating what happened.

I think he should be glad it was only his hip if he did accidentally shoot himself.  Talk about a close call.
