Wawa and IHOP on Route 37 in Toms River shut down after a bomb threat. Toms River Police Department reported on the incident on Facebook Sunday evening.

Power went out in the area of the IHOP, 176 Route 37 W, and the Wawa, 179 Route 37 E, after a transformer blew. According to the police department's Facebook post, "An unknown male called Wawa and stated that once the lights turn back on at IHOP the bomb will go off." Wawa and IHOP were shut down for a period of time while an investigation went on.

The post named the officers that responded, "Toms River Police Officer Josh Kulhwein and his K9 partner Zuul cleared IHOP and Ocean County Sheriff Officer Bernadette Warren and her K9 partner Finn cleared Wawa."

Power went back on and both the IHOP and Wawa were re-opened.

An investigation is on going to find the origin of the call.
