American Red Cross Urgently Needs Donors at 3 EHT Blood Drives

The American Red Cross reached out to me this week to ask for help promoting three blood drives in South Jersey coming up in August.

When is the last time you gave blood? Please considering doing it at one of these local blood drives, because the need is great right now.

The American Red Cross says they have an urgent need for blood donations to prevent another blood shortage as hospitals resume surgical procedures and patient treatments that were temporarily paused earlier this spring in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In recent weeks, hospital demand for blood products has grown by 30% after sharply declining this Spring amid the rapidly changing and complex public health crisis.

As a extra incentive, the American Red Cross are offering $5 Amazon.com gift cards and a free Dunkin' medium Iced coffee and donut to all donors during these drives, as well as antibody testing for all donors.
