500 People Involved in Disturbance at Deptford Mall

Chaos erupted inside Deptford Center Mall Saturday night after a "large disturbance" reportedly more 500 people strong.

Police units from both Gloucester and Camden counties were called to the mall's upper level food court in response to a massive upheaval.

Video posted to social media shows throngs of people running away from the scene.

One juvenile was arrested in the incident, police tell NJ.com, but officials are not labeling the incident a "fight" due to lack of any reports of assaults or injuries. The matter remains under investigation as police comb through mall surveillance video.

No weapons were recovered.

Mall employees said they were not authorized to comment on the incident.
