5 Reactions to the NJ Sonic Boom
We were all doing our things on an average Thursday afternoon when all of a sudden we feel the earth shake beneath us. If you're like me, you just went "that was weird," and moved on. Then when it happened again and again and again, chances are you had one of these reactions.
"WTF!?"
"WTF was that? Wait, it happened again. I'm in New Jersey, the ground doesn't move here. Oh, hell no!"
"Did you just feel that?"
Between family, friends and co-workers we all must have uttered those words about a couple hundred times. Bonus points if you and your friends also said "whoa, I felt that one!" We should probably plan a drinking game for when this happens next time.
"Earthquake!"
"Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! It's happening! I'm at work, I can't die here. Why now? I don't have any bread or milk!"
"Aliens!"
The X-Files reboot just premiered. Mulder and Scully are back. Coincidence? I think not.
"What the hell is a sonic boom"
To me, sonic boom sounds worse than earthquake. A sonic boom is a loud, thunder-like explosive noise caused by the shock wave from an aircraft traveling faster than the speed of sound, according to the USGS.
Did you get a kick out of the people who were disappointed it WASN'T an earthquake?
No mass destruction and chaos? C'mon, that's no fun!
