4 New Jersey Laws That Could Impact Your Life in 2019
Happy New Year! As we start a brand new year, we also get ready for a wave of new laws that could impact your daily life here in South Jersey.
Some of the following laws are already on the books or will take effect sometime in 2019, according to NJ.com and Fox 29 News Philadelphia.
- Ingram Publishing
Ingram Publishing 1No Smoking Ban for Beaches
This one will go into effect on January 16th. You won't be able to light up and smoke on all public beaches in Jersey and state-owned parks in the Garden State.
First offense will cost you $250, $500 for the second offense and $1,000 for every time your caught after that.
This is one law that I like, especially as we get closer to beach season in the summer of 2019!
- Pixland
Pixland 2License to Braid Hair
This new law went into effect on New Years Day. You'll now need a limited license with 40 to 50 hours of training before you'll be able to braid someone's hair professionally and you'll need a license from the New Jersey State Board of Cosmetology.

Yanik Chauvin 3Health Insurance
There is now a state individual mandate for Health Insurance for all residents of the Garden State. The new law went in effect on New Year's Day 2019.
You will have to pay fee at tax time if you're not insured through your job, Medicare or purchasing a policy.

Rena-Marie 4Breakfast for School Kids
This takes place on May 30th in 2019. The new initiative will allow school kids in districts that qualify, to eat a healthy breakfast during the school day.
