10 South Jersey Towns Perfect to Host Groundhog Day If Given the Chance
The 137th annual Groundhog Day is February 2nd in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. But what if it were to take place somewhere here in South Jersey?
It's darn near Punxsutawney Phil-season when come the second day of February the groundhog will be yanked from his proverbial stump to predict six more weeks of winter or six weeks till spring.
It's on my bucket list to see this little see his shadow (or not) in person, but Punxsutawney, PA is nearly a six-hour drive from where I live.
What if Gobbler's Knob could be recreated here in South Jersey? It was done for the 1993 movie 'Groundhog Day' with Bill Murray. That was actually filmed in Illinois.

These spots could definitely be transformed into a version of Gobbler's Knob, and I think these towns would be excellent hosts.
Check out the list below and see if you agree.
