12-year-old charged with dumping highlights busy early March for Hamilton Twp., NJ, Police

Officers with the Hamilton Township Police Department in the heart of Atlantic County had a busy first half of March, including a child being charged with dumping.

The department says from March 1st through 15th, they have responded to 604 calls for service. Those include the following:

• 1 DWI arrest
• 18 arrests
• 27 EMS calls
• 42 accidents
• 42 domestic violence calls
• 121 tickets were written from 384 traffic stops
• 844 property checks/community police functions

12-year-old Charged in Hamilton Twp., NJ

While exact details were not released, among the most notable arrests during that period happened on March 3rd when a 12-year-old girl was arrested and charged with obstruction and illegal dumping.

On March 11th, a 44-year-old man from Egg Harbor Township was arrested and charged with sexual assault with force, criminal sexual contact, endangering the welfare of a minor, and official misconduct.

• March 4th - 20-year-old woman from Atlantic City was arrested and charged with theft

• March 4th - 25-year-old man from Atlantic City was arrested on active warrants

• March 5th - 62-year-old man from Edgewater was arrested and charged with hindering

• March 5th - 31-year-old man from Oceanport was arrested and charged with theft of movable property

• March 5th - 48-year-old man from Mays Landing was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, distribution of CDS, possession of CDS, and possession of CDS on school property

• March 7th - 57-year-old woman from Mays Landing was arrested and charged with defiant trespassing and littering

• March 9th - 45-year-old man from Mays Landing was arrested and charged with simple assault

• March 9th - 48-year-old man from Atlantic City was arrested and charged with simple assault

• March 10th - 26-year-old man from Mays Landing was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct

• March 12th - 43-year-old man from Mays Landing was arrested and charged with contempt

• March 14th - 37-year-old man from Pitman was arrested and charged with possession of heroin, shoplifting, and contempt

• March 15th - 50-year-old man from Pleasantville was arrested on active warrants
