New Jersey State Police have charged a Woodbine woman with DWI, terroristic threats and aggravated assault on an officer after she coughed on state troopers who had pulled her over and said she was "happy" to infect them with COVID-19.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Tuesday morning, Zharia Young, 21, of Woodbine, got in an accident on a Maurice River Township roadway and was charged with DWI, officials said.

During her arrest, authorities said, she coughed, telling the state troopers she was “happy” to infect them with the coronavirus.

She was charged with terroristic threats and aggravated assault on an officer, the Attorney General’s Office said.
