Egg Harbor City to Plant Special Tree in Memory of Residents Who Died from COVID-19
This Arbor Day, Egg Harbor City will plant a special tree to memorialize residents who lost their lives to COVID-19.
On Friday, April 30th, Egg Harbor City's 'green team' SustainableEHC will plant a weeping redbud in front of City Hall on London Avenue.
SustainableEHC Chairwoman Nanette LoBiondo Galloway says, “Planting this native weeping redbud tree will ensure they [residents who died from COVID-19] are remembered for years to come,” according to the official eggharborcity Instagram page.
Reportedly, 11 Egg Harbor City residents lost their battle against coronavirus.
Loved ones of those who died from COVID-19 and members of the public are welcome to attend the tree planting ceremony. Social distancing and face masks will be required.
What a wonderful gesture, not only to the families who lost someone they loved to COVID, but to the whole Egg Harbor City community, and to the earth!
SustainableEHC works to preserve the environment, adopt sustainable practices in the home, and support local business, industry and farming.
