Williamstown, NJ Woman Tries to Win $25,000 on Food Network Show
Food Network fans, have you seen any of the new season of the show Holiday Wars?
We have a local South Jersey girl to cheer for in season three of the Food Network holiday baking show.
Jennifer Moshier from Williamstown is an application developer at Virtua Health who sidelines as a cake maker.
Jennifer is on Team Three Piper Piping on Holiday Wars, where she and her two teammates are trying to impress the judges with their holiday cake-making skills.
Moshier's team debuts on Sunday, Nov. 14 for the show's third qualifying round.
Moshier has a lengthy baking resume already, having competed at the baking shows in Washington. D.C., Florida, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. She also owns the online baking company Prima Cakes and Cookies. On the Prima Cakes website, she chronicles her love of baking.
I started baking when I was in high school. On the weekends my best friend and I used to find interesting recipes to try. I still have a lot of these recipes that I make today. When high school was over I headed to college to become a graphic designer.
Since baking still intrigued me I found myself watching a ton of the cake design shows on the Food Network and TLC. Watching these shows got me thinking that I would love to learn how to decorate cakes. I decided to take the Wilton decorating classes. I totally enjoyed this and so did all my co-workers since they got to eat them all. I soon started to find books and watching more cake shows to get new ideas and techniques to try.
Jennifer told the Cherry Hill Courier-Post that appearing on a Food Network show was a dream come true.
"It's kind of like a lifelong dream...it's kind of like a full-circle thing for me to be on (The Food Network) myself is - it's amazing!"
Watch Jennifer and her teammates compete in the qualifying rounds against nine baking teams to advance to win $25,000.
Jennifer plans to host a watch party for her debut on Sunday and she will be serving cake, of course.
