In the childhood holiday classic"Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer", Yukon Cornelius throws his pickax into the air and then licks it when he pulls it out of the ground. Most of us thought he's looking for silver and gold...well, the secret has been revealed!

Yukon Cornelius is actually looking for PEPPERMINT

The original Peppermint Mine Scene, aired in 1964 and has not been shown on TV since. The scene, along with a few others, was removed from the TV version to make time for the Misfit Toy's rescue scene, which was later filmed and added into the 1965 re-broadcast version because of viewer complaints.

Thanks to McFlyMovies for posting this "lost scene" on YouTube. The "lost" scene has been included on home video releases.
