Who Is Right – Mike or Wife Karin?

My Wife Karin and I were enjoying the afternoon by taking a stroll along the walking path through our neighborhood. When we stepped out of the house, she had something in her hand...

It was a peach.

I said, "What are you going to do with the pit when you are finished eating it?"

Wife Karin said, "I'm going to toss it into the woods."

"But that's littering. I was a Boy Scout. I cannot allow you to do that.", I replied.

Wife Karin then said something under her breath that sounded like the title of a song by CeeLo, and kept eating her peach.

So, is tossing a peach pit into the woods in a neighborhood littering? Who is right, Mike or Wife Karin?
