The marching band from West Deptford High School is celebrating a record-breaking eighth win at the Atlantic Coast Championships.

The Tournament of Bands took place in Hershey, Pennsylvania on November 5th, Courier Post reports, with teams from four states competing.

Never in the 45-year history of the tournament has one school racked up more consecutive titles that W. Deptford High.

The win, though, wasn't without it's share of difficulties. The band's bus broke down on the long ride home.

Police cruisers and fire trucks were station to welcome the champs home with sirens and flashing lights. Even West Deptford's mayor and a crowd of their fans waited in the high school parking lot. But by the time the band's bus arrived, the parking lot was empty. Everyone had apparently gone home, lol.

Still though, the record-breaking win and bragging rights are celebration enough, right? Congratulations Greyhounds! We hope you can defend your title in 2018!
