It's a quick turn of events since the Amalfi Pizza Ristorante that occupied the space reportedly only closed about a week ago.

So, if you're into fresh roast beef, roast pork, and roast turkey served on South Philly-famous Sarcone rolls, and brick oven pizza crafted from homemade dough, Polizzi's Brick Oven may be your new go-to. Especially since that brick oven will produce neo-Neapolitan pies just like they make in Italy, pan pizza like you'd find in Detroit, and of course, Sicilian!

And, the Italian force is strong with this one! That homemade, fermented pizza dough is reportedly the product of a recipe that took the Polizzi's Brick Oven owners YEARS to perfect. I appreciate that kind of dedication!

And, heck YEAH they'll have your antipasta, too. You can look forward to prosciutto, sopressata, broccoli rabe, roasted red peppers, and more.

Polizzi's Brick Oven has not set their official opening date yet, but we'll keep you posted! In the meantime, you can check them out on Facebook to see what's in store!
