Ventnor to Close Beach and Boardwalk After Confirming Its First Cases of Coronavirus
After confirming the beach town's first two positive COVID-19 cases, Ventnor will move to close its beach and boardwalk to the public.
A statement on VentnorCity.org reads:
We believe part of our shared responsibility is to encourage residents to limit their movements during this public health crisis. In order to do so, we must limit public spaces. We take no pleasure in this action and only hope this proactive measure will protect our friends and loved ones in the weeks to come. Please continue to do your part to slow the spread of Covid-19 by following this Executive Order and other public health guidelines.
Ventnor joins a growing number of shore towns limiting access to their beaches. Atlantic City, however, is holding off for now.
