Traffic Stop in EHT Turns Into Drug Bust

A traffic stop last Friday afternoon in Egg Harbor Township turned into a drug bust and a man from Mays Landing is now facing charges.

EHT Police say one of their officers conducted a traffic stop on Tilton Road around 1:15 Friday afternoon. An investigation was conducted and 5.3 ounces of cocaine and 2 grams of raw marijuana were recovered.

36-year-old Samuel Jean of Mays Landing was arrested and charged with the following:

• Possession of CDS Cocaine
• Possession of Marijuana Under 50 Grams
• Distribution of CDS Heroin/Cocaine
• Failure to Surrender CDS to Law Enforcement
• Title 39 (Traffic) Offenses

Cops say $920 in cash was also seized. Jean was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on a warrant.
