Two men from Philadelphia and a juvenile from New Jersey have been arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection to a shooting in Burlington County in March.

Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina says 18-year-old Antonio Rivera and 22-year-old Billy Pirela, both from Philadelphia, and a teenage woman are facing first-degree attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon charges.

Cops say the scene unfolded on March 4th when Riverside Township police officers were called to the 300 block of Fairview Street for a report of a man who had been shot. Their investigation revealed that the victim, a 23-year-old man from Pennsylvania who was staying with an friend, was shot while walking on a street. Police determined that Rivera, Pirela, and the juvenile were traveling on that street when a shot came from their vehicle, hitting the victim in the back.

Police say the victim has recovered from the shooting and they are still trying to determine a motive.

According to a press release, Rivera was arrested on May 18th in Brick Township, Ocean County. The juvenile, who cannot be identified due to her age, was also arrested on May 18th at her school by Riverside Township police.

Meanwhile, Pirela has not been arrested and he is considered a fugitive. Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to call Burlington County Central Communications at (609) 265-7113.
