Last fall we told you about the fact that in New Jersey, Ocean County seems to have an unusually high number of UFO sightings.

This week, in honor of World UFO Day 2019 (which was yesterday, July 2nd), a new study ranks each state's likelihood of spotting a flying saucer.

The SatelliteInternet.com article says that if you want to see some spooky aircraft, you should head to Washington state, Montana, Vermont, Alaska, and Maine.

If you prefer to avoid paranormal airplanes, you should hide out in Texas, Louisiana , Georgia, Mississippi, and Alabama.

So, given all 50 states, where does the Garden State rank?

According to the study, New Jersey is 42nd, with only 25.53 UFO sightings per 100,000 people.

But, when we do get sightings, they're doozies, like the "fireball changing color..." in Bay Head, the "two bright circles...hovering in the sky" in Little Egg Harbor, and the "three red orbs" in Beach Haven.

Have you spotted something strange in the sky here in New Jersey? Tell us about it on our Facebook page!
