The Single Girl’s Valentine’s Day Checklist
No, I'm not bitter. I just know that Valentine's Day is a scam thought up by the greeting card companies that's supposed to tug at our heartstrings thereby triggering emotions we normally suppress every other day of the year *and breathe*.
I also know that there's a recent college grad held up in an office somewhere coming up with punny sweet-nothings wondering where they went wrong and how they ended up there.
Some would say there's nothing worse than being single on Valentine's Day. Whether or not you share those sentiments, if you cling to this checklist, you'll have the BEST VALENTINE'S DAY EVER, single or not.
Check it out:
Have a Valentine's Day Treat
It doesn't matter whether it's candies or chocolate covered strawberries. Shoot, have both. Treat yo' self, girl! As long as you have something yummy to munch on, you'll be set.
Enjoy a Good Book or Movie
If you don't have evening plans for Valentine's Day, curl up with a good book or watch one of your favorite movies. Think about it this morning that way you'll be looking forward to something for the rest of the day.
Indulge in a Great Facemask
One of the best ways to treat yourself this Valentine's Day is by investing in a really great at-home facial or facemask. Keep it on while reading or watching that movie.
Hang Out With Your Girlfriends
If you don't feel like being alone, have the gals over for some much-needed girl time.
Drink Lots of Wine
Because, obviously (duh). Nobody needs to be completely sober on Valentine's Day lol! Enjoy responsibly!
