In September of 2016, Savvy Shields had the biggest night of her life right here in South Jersey when she was crowned the new Miss America at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Since then, Savvy keeps a special piece of AC with her everywhere she goes.

Miss America celebrated the beautiful bond of it's humble beginnings at Boardwalk Hall today for the opening of the new Miss America office. Savvy Shields, Miss America 2017, cut the ribbon to tie together the long time partnership between Atlantic City and the pageant.
