A Great Big World

We got to spend an incredible afternoon this week at the Philadelphia Zoo with talented music duo A Great Big World and two very lucky fans!

On Tuesday night, August 9th, Chad King and Ian Axel of the music duo A Great Big World ('Say Something', 'Hold Each Other') will play Mann Center for the Arts in Philadelphia. But before they take the stage they want to take you and a friend to tour the Philadelphia Zoo! Lions, and tigers, and A Great Big World? Oh my!

Chad Vaccarino, one half of the breakout pop duo A Great Big World, has shared that he is battling the life-threatening disease Multiple Sclerosis.  But he's also revealing how he's been able to fight back and improve his quality of life, which includes making music.

We've got spring fever and it has everything to do with the abundance of great new music.  From the return of Andy Grammer to a brand new song by Passenger, here are five new tracks we can't wait for you to hear.

The duo A Great Big World has made quite the impact lately, thanks to the magnetism of their haunting ballad 'Say Something'.  Now Chad and Ian are back with another song to pull at our heartstrings.  Take a first listen to 'Already Home'.

A Dad posted a YouTube video of his four-year-old son sitting in the back of his car while they're listening to the Great Big World song "Say Something".  The child is so moved by it, he actually starts crying!

On a recent episode of NBC's The Voice, coach Christina Aguilera joined newcomers A Great Big World for a performance of the duo's new ballad 'Say Something'.  The pairing went so well Aguilera actually went back into the studio to re-record the track as a duet.  The accompanying music video is just as eery and heartbreaking as the song.

Back in August SoJO presented a performance by new artist A Great Big World during our annual Women's Expo at Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing.  Well, duo Ian Axel and Chad Vaccarino have been busy cultivating their budding careers, and tonight they'll perform live on NBC's The Voice.

The 11th Annual 2013 SoJO 104.9 Women's Expo is Saturday at Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing.  Not only are we collecting school supplies donation, but we're entertaining you with live music and the chance to enter fall in a new Kia Optima!

Up and comers A Great Big World are riding high on the success of their debut single 'This is the New Year'.  We'd love for you to come see them play live in a free performance and meet and greet Saturday, August 17th at Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing!
