The Jersey Shore is a popular vacation spot. People come to the Jersey Shore to have a good time, sometimes that good time ends with an arrest. NJ.com compiled data from the New Jersey Municipal Court from July 2016 to June 2017. According to the site they, "ranked all the towns along the Shore from least to most DWI arrests made, based on the square mileage of the town."

Coming in at number one was not a South Jersey town, but was Seaside Heights. According to the data collected, there were 140 DWI arrests made between 2016-2017. 22 South Jersey towns are on the list out of 44 towns total.

Coming in at 44 is Cape May Point with 0 DWI arrests between 2016-2017. At 43 is Barnegat Light, they had only 1 DWI arrest, totaling 1.17 arrests per square mile. Berkley Township came in at 42 with 1.21 DWI arrests per square mile, a total of 68 arrests. Upper Township is 41 on the list, 87 total arrests with 1.27 arrests per square mile.

In the top 10, North Wildwood came in at #9. Between 2016-2017 there were a total of 65 DWI arrests with 30.44 arrests per square mile. Wildwood Crest is #7 with a total of 44 arrests and 33.61 arrests per square mile. Wildwood City came in at #2 with a total of 140 DWI arrests between 2016-2017, which breaks down to 100.43 arrests per square mile.
