South Jersey Police Officer’s Home Lost in Raging Fire
An officer's home in Ocean County was lost due to a fire on Saturday.
The home is reported to be a 'total lost'.
K-9 Officer Russell Okinsky, of Beachwood, is a policer officer in the town next door, the Pine Beach Police Department. He and his family was able to escape the fire without sustaining any injuries.
Officer Okinsky's two dogs Lola, and his K-9 partner Keto, were trapped in the basement of the house when the fire broke out.
Thankfully the two canines were rescued by firefighters who responded to the distress call with no injuries.
No word yet on the cause of the fire.
