South Jersey Man Runs 20.20 Miles in Honor of the Class of 2020
With schools in New Jersey now officially closed for the remainder of the academic year, graduating students won't be able to enjoy a traditional commencement ceremony. One South Jersey man found his own way to honor the Class of 2020.
On Sunday, 47-year-old Patrick Rodio, cheered on by students, faculty, and onlookers, ran 14 loops around the Knight Park area of Collingswood, completing 20.20 miles. Rodio ran for just over three hours.
The five-time marathon runner's effort was not only to recognize this year's graduates, but to raise scholarships money and to help offset the cost of yearbook purchase costs for some students as part of Collingswood Cares, according to NJ.com.NJ Governor Phil Murphy
