Last year I spoke with Austin Decker, a teenager from Gloucester Township who is a fierce advocate of those afflicted with Multiple Sclerosis.  His passion for helping those in his community is to be highly commended, and that's why we've chosen Austin as our SoJO Hometown Hero.

This 18-year old senior high school student at Timber Creek High School has been walking to support those stricken with MS since he was 10.  This Sunday, his Angels of Hope will strive to raise money for area families affected by the disease at an event taking place at Gloucester Township Democrat Club. On May 4, Austin and his team will walk for a cure at Washington Lake Park in Sewell.

Austin Decker has a passion for helping people and his mission is to create a world free of MS.

We at SoJO 104.9 salute Austin for taking initiative to help those around him, and for being so ambitious!  He is truly an inspiration to other teens and members of his community!
