House Fire in Gloucester Township Closes Jarvis Road

A home that caught fire Thursday afternoon in Gloucester Township forced the closure of a major road.

The fire broke out off Jarvis Rd. in Erial near Timber Creek High School, and as of around 5:15 p.m., the road remained closed to traffic between Williamstown Rd. and Prospect Ave., according to Patch.com.

There is no word yet on any injuries or the cause of the blaze, but drivers are still being advised to avoid the area.
