Six Flags Ride Breaks Down, Leaves People Stranded Mid-Air
These people did not have those kind of thrills in mind.
A group of thrill-seekers vising Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson Sunday night got a little more than they bargained for when they went on the ride Skyscreamer.
The ride broke down while operating, and left guests hanging in the air for more than a few minutes. Talk about the ultimate nightmare.
Park-goers were up 100 feet in the air, waiting in the chilly air for a resolution.
A Six Flags Spokesperson said that a safety sensor on the ride went off and stopped abruptly.
It took 10 minutes for ride to function again and safely lower the guest back to the ground. No one was injured during the emergency stop.
The SkyScreamer is a swing-based ride that spins at about 40 miles per hour 24 floors above the ground, according to the park’s website.
