Sinead O’Connor Debuts Edgy, Glamorous New Look
When I close my eyes and try to picture a bald celebrity, Sinead O'Connor's is one of the first heads that come to mind. But now the musician/activist has traded in her homely appearance for something a little more gorgeous. The result, is nothing short of WOW!
In two months O'Connor is releasing her 10th studio effort, and she's nearly unrecognizable on the album's cover.
Sporting a jet-black bob with so of-the-moment bangs, smoky eyes, and a Catwoman-tight patent leather dress, the singer looks like she stepped out of Aeon Flux.
It's an appropriate aesthetic for a CD titled I'm Not Bossy, I'm the Boss, and a major departure from her standard shaved head, bare face, and schleppy wardrobe. So what inspired such a dramatic about-face?
It was Facebook honcho Sheryl Sandberg and the women's empowerment movement Sandberg created. O'Connor took to her personal website to explain her change of heart.
"Originally I had a different title, The Vishnu Room, but a few months back when I saw the phrase 'I’m not bossy, I'm the boss' and became aware of the Ban Bossy campaign, I wished I could re-name the album, since indeed it can be tricky being a female boss and I think Sheryl’s campaign is a terribly important one."
Good for her, who knew she could look this hot! It just goes to prove, like I always say, nothing compare 2 a makeover.
