Not too long ago,  the Margate Deer was a huge topic of discussion.  Now, Northfield may have a new friend roaming around town.

 

Is there a Birch Grove Park Bear?  Police are asking residents to be cautious after a sighting was reported Firday night.

 

According to the Press of Atlantic City, An adult and juvenile were jogging in the park when they saw what they believed was a bear crossing a jogging trail into the woods shortly after 5 p.m. (friday) The animal was described as blackish-red and 3 to 4 feet tall, walking on all fours.

 

Anyone who spots the animal is asked to call Northfield police at 609-641-3122 or call 911 in an emergency situation.
