Philadelphia CEO Still Missing After Amtrak Train Derailment
Friends and family of are desperate for information about Rachel Jacobs who remains missing following last night's derailment of Amtrak train #188 in Philadelphia.
The CEO of Philly-based company AppreNet was among the 238 passengers on the ill-fated train that crashed Tuesday evening in the Port Richmond section of the city. The accident killed seven people and injured 200 more as train cars left the track, some flipping over trapping victims.
Rachel Jacobs lives in New York and is the mother of a 2-year-old, 6abc.com reports.
The Amtrak train was on its way to New York from Washington D.C.
It's a devastating scene of twisted metal, emergency responders and accident investigators, the National Transportation Safety Board said the train was traveling at 100 mph, twice the speed limit on that stretch of track. The Train's 32-year old conductor has reportedly retained a lawyer and is being questioned. A forward facing dash cam video is being reviewed for more clues.
