New Jersey Woman Strives to Feed 30,000 People in Need by Her 30th Birthday
A 29 year-old New Jersey woman is on a mission to donate 30,000 meals to people in need by her 30th birthday.
Lauren Puryear, of Woodbridge, decided to use her love of extreme couponing to buy enough food to put meals together she plans to pass on to tens of thousands of hungry local residents. It's a goal she hopes to achieve by the time she turns 30.
Puryear tells NJ.com that if all goes as planned, she'll have the ability to feed as many as 150 people on just $20, depending on what's on sale at the store.
She is calling her initiative For The Love Of Others, an organization she started in honor of her late grandmother who instilled in Puryear the importance of helping others.
