New Jersey to Spend $12 M for Miss America

Is the Miss American Pageant worth more than $12 million to South Jersey?

The CRDA has approved over $11 million to promote and keep the Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City through January 1, 2019, according to sources.

Also on the bill is money to take care of room and board for the contestants and previous competition disputes, bringing the total amount to $12.5 million.
