An autopsy conducted on a star New Jersey quarterback, who collapsed during a high school football game Friday night and later died, has revealed massive internal bleeding as the cause of death.

Morris County Medical Examiner's Office determined 17-year old Evan Murray suffered massive internal blood loss caused by a lacerated spleen, which was also found to be abnormally enlarged. His death has officially been ruled accidental.

There was no evidence of head trauma or heart disease, according to authorities.

After taking what appeared to be a standard 'hit' in the backfield, the Warren Hills Regional High School QB walked off the field Friday night with assistance from his teammates.

He later collapsed on the sideline before he died.
